Try Diana Laurence and also Angie Fox, they are fun reads and also make you laugh out loud. I too have read entirely too many serious books in my favorite UF or PNR book series that have been following the last few years and something lighter makes me appreciate them when go back to the authors that I normally read....

Happy New Year Pixie, may 2010 bring you all the blessings not given in 2009!!!!!

It's not so much PR, but more fantasy. If you see anything by Terry Prachett, especially the disc world series, check them out. The Grim Reaper is usually the main character and he is so funny. I usually am in tears from laughing whenever I read those books.

I love when a book makes me laugh out loud. Sometimes an Urban Fantasy book will do that, but they are getting very serious. Some books go too far in trying to be funny- then it just feels forced. It's probably hard to strike just the right balance. Mary Janice Davidson's books are funny, especially her Betsy books, but the last few books of her I read had a little too much screaming in them. It seemed like the main woman was always yelling, whether she was a mermaid, vampire, werewolf, or whatever. Yelling isn't funny all the time.

I've read a little of Susan Elizabeth Philips. They were nice books. I haven't tried Dakota Cassidy yet. I want to. Her interviews are hella funny.
