Ayla Hammond has come home.
After years as a lone wolf in a self-imposed exile she’s rejoining the pack and trying to mend fences with her parents.
She’s convinced them to accept her girlfriend, but can a lone wolf change her ways?
As if homecoming wasn’t hard enough, Ayla also can’t help getting involved in a missing person case.
With pressure to solve the case mounting from the pack alphas, Ayla is starting to question where her loyalties lie –and if a return to the pack she left behind is really what she wants.
Although there are no vampires in SILVER KISS, let’s face it – you can’t go far these days without finding werewolves versus vampires, whether it’s in books or films. I guess there are lots of reasons why they might be natural enemies, and lots of reasons why people prefer one or the other. Me, I’m for the werewolves. At least they’re actually alive!
Of course there are lots of advantages to being a vampire that werewolves don’t have: eternal life and youth for one. But who wants to live forever? You just end up alone, jaded, and miserable if the films are anything to go by! At least being a werewolf is only a part-time gig. Once a month is all you have to deal with, then you can go back to your regular life if you want to.
Another reason werewolves beat vampires? No need to drink blood! Come on, the films might make it look glamorous, but would you really want to give up chocolate, steak, cheesecake, and red wine? I don’t think so. Werewolves get to eat whatever they want… and if the occasional sheep or rabbit works its way into your diet, well, it’s all protein, isn’t it?
I’ve got a great contest for everyone. There’s an ebook for a winner at the end of today and everyone who enters now will also be in the running for winning a signed print copy of SILVER KISS drawn at the end of the week. Just answer this simple question in your comment to be entered into both competitions:
Which would you rather be – a werewolf or a vampire? And more importantly, why?

I think I would have to go with were, but both are tempting. First, I agree with you, giving up food would just be too hard. I love food, and I’m also a complete carnivoure, so it wouldn’t be much of a change of diet. I also enjoy sitting outside on a warm sunny day, not really a vamp thing. PLus, with a werewolf i think it would be totally freeing to just run wild through the woods once a month without a care in the world.
Looks like I’m first…I hope that’s good luck.

I would have to be a Vampire. On the one hand I would love to be cool and elegant for a change. Super strong and super fast also sounds good and I already prefer to be awake at night. I’m also a good cook so I’m sure I could whip up something delicious with that blood. didn’t angel prefer his with a dash of cinnamon?
Being a were doesn’t appeal- so hairy and what if I got fleas? And the change seems pretty painful.
Vampire, definitely. You get way more sleep and almost never end up having to walk home naked.
Lol, I never really considered the walk of shame home… But I think I’d rather do that than have to sleep in a coffin *shudder*
It’s a toughie! But I think I’d like to be a werewolf. I love love love food, and although I would love a longer life I dont want to live forever, plus it would be cool to turn into an animal and feed that other instinct once in a blue moon (no pun intended…okay yah it was intended lol)
I would much rather be a werewolf. I love the full moon and already have a reputation as a b*tch
and I LOVE food just like Kate!
Vampire. Why? Well, because they’re just cooler. Plus, what with being porcelain white already I’d look good in the vampire gear. And the way I write my vampires, they can eat what the hell they want, so long as they take their dietary supplement.
All that yomping around in the woods, killing small furry things? That would not be good for my vegetarianism. Or my hair. I’m not a fan of the Wet Dog Smell, either.
But a werecat? Hmm, now THAT has possibilities…
I would have to go with werewolf. I’m not much into blood and I enjoy the sunlight way to much. I think the vampire life would be much to constricting.
I would be a werewolf. I grew up in the mountains so I love the woods. I feel at home there. I already hunt and fish so eating a rabbit wouldn’t be a big deal to me. Being able to run in the woods and be free would be awesome.
Definitely a Werewolf—–no hands means not doing dirty dishes.
Oh…that’s such a tough call. It’s funny, cause I absolutely love reading about vampires and wehr-wolves. But the idea of drinking blood is such a turn off, though I’ve heard vampires really like it. Then again, I’ve never really had an affinity for the canine species. Hmmm. It’s really a toss up, the lesser of two evils. I’m going to put myself in the vampire column. I’m guessing if I’ll get over the aversion of blood.
I love the soud of this book! Can’t wait to read it xD
Which would you rather be – a werewolf or a vampire? And more importantly, why?
I’d be a vampire. I now it’s far from the rule but I have this image of werewolf’s being hairy and all drooly and vampires as elegant and aristocratic-looking so…
Still, depending on the context, I’d probably change my mind
Thanks for the giveaway!

Werewolf, for sure. I’m too much of a foodie to give up eating!! Plus I think it would be ubercool to run around as a wolf…it would be such a different sensory experience than hiking as a human.
I’d have to go with werewolf too. I live on ten acres so I could just run around on my own land:)
I think I would not drool as a wolf– nope I think I would be too cool for that. BAHAHAHA
I would definitely want to be a werewolf..I am not a big fan of drinking blood. I think I would stay warmer then too, vampires must always be so cold between blood meals. And I would never need someone to open a jar for me with the werewolf super strength. Bud I do fear the heighten since of smell.
I am a Werewolf. I love nature. I have no problems getting down and dirty
I love the idea of living by instinct and well… they are animals…. Bwahahahahaha!!!=)
Vampire! [as long as I do not zzparkle! =P And also because I do not want to be all hairy in places I am not supposed to be *grin*
I’d choose to be a were. The whole living forever thing is too depressing.
