NUM8ERS Giveaway

Ever since she was child, Jem has kept a secret: Whenever she meets someone new, no matter who, as soon as she looks into their eyes, a number pops into her head. That number is a date: the date they will die. Burdened with such awful awareness, Jem avoids relationships. Until she meets Spider, another outsider, and takes a chance. The two plan a trip to the city. But while waiting to ride the Eye ferris wheel, Jem is terrified to see that all the other tourists in line flash the same number. Today’s number. Today’s date. Terrorists are going to attack London. Jem’s world is about to explode!

  • ReaganStar McBeigh March 5, 2010 at 8:29 am

I would love this book, it sounds fabulous, and its one that I have heard rave reviews about.

  • Bethie March 5, 2010 at 9:44 am

Please count me in. I would love to read this. I love when chararacters have strange abilities that on the surface seem like a gift, but can actually be a curse.

  • Becky March 5, 2010 at 10:54 am

I want to read numbers because it reminds me of that old movie with Michael J. Fox where he saw who was going to die next with a number on their forehead. Only in this book, she knows the dates. To know and not be able to do anything sounds like a great book!!

  • Heather (DarklyReading) March 5, 2010 at 11:19 am

I want to read numbers ’cause you loved the book though it has not been loved by everyone – I’m kinda curious why people love/hate the book so strongly. Though I’m afraid of the ending – it sounds very cliff-hangery from what people have been saying.

  • Ale March 5, 2010 at 11:21 am

*raises hand and waves furiously* ME PLEASE!! LOL

Count me in please ^-^ I want to read this book, why? First because I love to read, and second- Because I love to read thngs that interest me as much as this book does. I mean, I have read various reviews and now I cannot wait till I get mine! =P [that is why it would be cool if I win it *wink wink*] and come one… The main character can see someone death’s date when she looks at them in the eyes = Major Win! *grin*

  • The Mighty Buzzard March 5, 2010 at 11:45 am

Nifty, you’re numbers 8 and 29 on google results for ‘rachel ward num8ers’, minus the quotes.

Count me in on the contest too by reason of me being a cheap bastich what regularly spends more than he can comfortably afford on books.

  • SandyG March 5, 2010 at 11:58 am

The storyline sounds interesting. And the reviews I’ve read have either been very positive or very negative. I’d like to read this book and see why it causes such strong opposite reactions.

  • Belinda Wolf-Whitaker March 5, 2010 at 1:04 pm

I want to read this book to find out how she reacts to her gift/curse which ever she thinks of it as. I want to see the choices she makes along the way and I think it will be a really good but different book from anything else I’ve read lately. I have it on my TBR list weither I win it or not I will read it because it sounds so good. Belinda

I want to read Numbers because I love the type of books with ordinary people that you soon find out are not so ordinary and have some secret abilities.

  • Joder March 5, 2010 at 7:05 pm

I would love to read this because I enjoy books with a paranormal feel. I like seeing a character having to cope with what some consider an ability and how it affects them and those around them.

  • Teresa W. March 5, 2010 at 7:08 pm

  • Moonsanity (Brenda H.) March 5, 2010 at 8:10 pm

I’ve been waiting for you to put up the contest:) I want to read it since I heard you mention it on twitter and I looked up the description– it sounds awesome!

  • Karen Ward March 5, 2010 at 10:42 pm

I would like to read this book because: I enjoy paranormal/thriller books – that are an escape from reality or the “normal”, the description of the book sounds interesting and sounds like a possibility of a continued series, and the main character sounds like someone you could relate to in everyday life that is coping with an ability – which may be more like a disability.

This book sounds like a fast paced and interesting read with a unique twist in that Jem being able to see when others die. I know that isn’t a talent I would want, seems a little too freaky for me but I’m still interested in reading this and seeing how the author presents it.

  • Brenda B. Hill March 14, 2010 at 11:14 pm
