Cin Craven vs. Sabina Kane

I picked up Jaye Wells new book today, but decided to re-read her first book in the series. And then I noticed something.

hmm…she looks like someone I know.

Yep, same chick. I only noticed because I really don’t think this chick is attractive in the least! She looks better on Jaye’s NEW cover though.

So there you have it. At least she’s always a vampire! LOL

Only you would pick up on the red headed model being the same on both author’s book covers, good eye!!! I have looked at these covers like everyone else lots of times and for some reason it never clicked until you put them in the same framing and Ta Da they are one and the same. You are so right too, the model is not really “to die for” in the looks department. She does seem to fit the “image” of the characters of Cin and Sabina though in the authors descriptions…..
The world of cover models is shrinking I guess!

I don’t think she does, I think she’s too manish LOL

But I had to double take when I finally clued in, rushed to my room to grab Jenna’s book to be sure then ran to email Jenna! LOL

How funny! I never thought the cover model looked like Cin, though. I wanted her to have much softer features and this model’s face is very strong and angular. In my head Cin is sort of Buffy-esque… a little, very feminine-looking woman who doesn’t look like she can kick your ass until she does.

Wow, I never noticed that — excellent catch! Hmm, now as to which book I like better, that is harder! I think I love them equally. I am just sad that I think Jenna Maclaine’s series is complete.

Damn! You have really good eyes. I never catch things like that! :)

No, the series is far from being complete! Be patient! ;)

Are you sure? The jaw structure looks a little different; although that could be an airbrush technique. You’re right though, she looks much better on the Wells novels.

But, if it’s the same chick on Maclaine’s earlier novels, then she definitely looks better 0n Grave Sins than Bound by Sin

Shes not the same chick as Jenna’s previous two books. The second book doesn’t have a full face & Grave Sins has a totally different chick as well.

I am 100% sure it IS the same model, photoshopped. It’s a standard picture, edited.

The first book (Wages of Sin) is the one without the full face. This is my favorite cover, btw. Grave Sins is the second book. I thought her hair looked pink on that one. I was finally happy with the color on the cover of BBS but I didn’t like it parted down the middle like that. I thought it made her look too masculine but they wouldn’t change it. And, yep, it really is the same model on the covers of all three!

Actually it’s not a standard picture, edited. My cover art was created by Craig White and I am pretty certain there were photo shoots involved for all my covers. That said, I think it probably is the same model. I think she’s a perfect Sabina. A “pretty” model wouldn’t have worked at all, but I think this one is both strong and beautiful.

Hmm I am still trying to find out the models name, since St. Martin’s Press doesn’t state who doesn’t their cover art.
