Vampires: Yes Please.
When I started reading PR’s & UF’s it was all about vampires. It seems many authors are trying to move away from vampires & taking on lesser known paranormals (Nicole Peeler does selkies, we’ve got the fae all over the place & now demons & angels). But there’s just something uber sexy about a vampire……even though we’ve all read vampire novels are dead. Or undead.
I miss the vampires I tell you, well aside from that book to movie series that is out now,(name it at risk of ME growing fangs).
There are so many book related vampires that it’s so hard to choose just one. Plus vamps have evolved from back in the earlier days from cape wearing emos. They used to be all whoa is me I’ve lived forever with lots of sex but not a mate…wah wah wah *cries a river* Now vamps are hardcore, they kick ass & take names, but are some pretty patient lovah’s.
Mine……Ash & Bones, I like my vamps strong & protective. Ash & Bones both have had hard lives, but they sure are givers aren’t they? They can fang me anyday…as long as Eric Northman is joining in filming, cause you know I’d need that on tape. I mean…yeah.
So tell me, who are your favorite book vampires?

I do loves the vampires. My favorite are still the vamps from Vampire Diaries, which I read when I was 13… but Kresley Cole’s vamps are pretty sigh-worthy.
*hangs head in shame* I still haven’t read a Kresley Cole yet!

Love Kisten, hated Kim when she killed him off. Thats the first time I cried over a UF! LOL! LOOOOVE Gil too!
Sorry, I do love “the shiny vampire”-but only in the books. He’s lame and virginal (yeah, right), but lovable. I love The Black Dagger Brotherhood vamps. Zane from Succubus Diaries, Eric from Sookie Stackhouse (Bill is dull and boring), Bones from Night Huntress Series, and the Wroth Brothers from Immortals After Dark Series.
But, my all time fav will always be Angel.

The first vampire that comes to mind at the moment is Eric (I can’t wait to see him in the series again).

Definitely Eric!!! … OOH and Bones, he’s HAWT! … Otherwise, jeez, I can’t even think of any others, which is a sad sad panda thing … my TBR Mountain is covered in anything and everything fae … bring back the vamps, I say!

I’m a Keri Arthur fan, Quinn is hmm…hot! I’m also a huge fan of Henry Fitzroy from Tanya Huff’s Blood Ties series! There are a few more but those are the first that come to mind.
It’s a guarantee, anytime theres a character in a book with the name Quinn…he’s hot!
First two that come to mind. I would have to say Quinn in Keri Arthur’s Riley Jenson series. Close second would be Val from Jennifer Rardin.

I have to add ALL of the Midnight Breed “Vampires” very hot. they are all so strong and their biggest weakness are the human women they fall in love with.
Give me a Black Dagger Brother, a Carpathian, a Cullen/Hale, a Dark Hunter..you know, I am not picky at all. I am all for the hunky men of the BDB though!! OH wait…Jean Claude and Asher and Bones and Spade…all four of them…

I can’t believe I forgot ALL of the Midnight Breed “Vampires” from Lara Adrian. They are so strong but their greatest weakness is the human woman they fall for.
My vamps pick would be Armand from Anne Rice series, Bones from Jeaniene Frost Night Huntress series, Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV series and movie(have not read the books), Damon from The Vampire Diaries (both the books and TV show, he is just such a “good” bad boy and love Ian Somerhalder in the TV series), Dante from the Maker Song series by Adrian Phoenix, pretty much any vampire hero in the stories written by Amanda Ashley because they are courtliness and hawtness combined, Lara Adrians Midnight Breed series Vamps as well,. I have more but think that might be enough so someone else can get a chance to answer you!!!

My Favorite Vamps are from Christine Feehan and Sherrilyn Kenyon books.and on tv it would be the Vamps from Buffy.

Eric Northman is the first one that comes to mind. I also like Jeaniene Frost’s Bones and Vlad, Jennifer Rardin’s Vayl and Richelle Mead’s Adrian. I prefer my vamps to have a sense of humour, I hate it when they brood overly much.

I agree with your favs, Ash, Bones and (pant,pant) Eric, but I also love Sebastian from Kresley Cole, Adrian from Katie MacAlister, and Thomas from Harry D. Then there’s the BDB and Alexandra Ivy’s and…good grief, how many vamps can a girl lust after??
This is going to date me, but I absolutely fell in love with the Count of Saint-Germain from Chelsea Quinn Yarbro’s vampire books way back in the early 1980s. I think the first one was Hotel Transylvania and she’s written about 15 or more. They are historicals and don’t usually get classified as paranormal so many people who read vampire books have never heard of them.
Beyond that, I fell in love with Angel (Spike was okay, but Angel was first), and just recently discovered the UF genre. I love Eric, Bones, all of the Brothers (well, except for Phury cuz he’s too much of a whiner), and Stefan from the Mercy Thompson series.
