WLP on Life & Books

So I just don’t have it in me to blog today people. You see it’s 100F here & has been all week, this Pixie is melting. And before someone else asks, YES it gets that hot in Canada we do not all live in Igloo’s.

Anyway, I have read a few books in the past few days but I can’t post reviews until their release dates. It comes with some of the books I review, the media always gets first dibs. So if you are waiting for reviews, even though I’m reading you’ll have to wait a bit longer. Sorry. I feel unproductive over here when I don’t immediatly post a review, but such is life right? Honestly, I HAVE been reading. lol

*wipes sweat out of eyes*

I’ve only got to pick up one new release this week, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Infinity. Can’t wait to start it, but alas I have 2 more review books to get through first (again, ones that can’t be posted early, ARGH)

Hmm whatelse can I tell you, OH! I scored an interview that made me clap, honestly I’m pathetic. Laurell K. Hamilton will be here people!! LKH!

*mumbles about needing a friend with a swimming pool ASAP*

So what new releases have YOU bought? What are you doing to beat the heat? Tell me something funny?

well it’s not 100 but it feels pretty close. and to top it off with the crappy oil spill it smells like ass outside. If that makes you feel better. I got Infinity also, and I’m going to see her tomorrow – yip yip. Good luck with all the reviews to come.

OMG thats awful Rach, is it worse than they’re showing us? Breaks my heart, the poor animals and workers.

It is close to 100 here, 95 says my truck. The pool is filling as we speak. I am lacking some modivation and I cringe everytime I see a BEA post (green with envy).

Keep cool, I am off to stand in the sun for tball practice.

Dude, I dunno if your 100 = a TX 100, but I’m here to tell you, you don’t know hot until you live 2ft from the sun and your bedroom is in the left corner of Hell 9 months out of the year.

Like literally. How anyone, and I do mean, ANYONE, survived this shit before AC was invented should be like figuring out Stonehenge and finding directions to the Fountain of Youth.

    IMPOSSIBLE.

So I can’t summon up a sad for ya, ‘slice. LOLLOL

I don’t know what a TX 100 feels like, but when my friend from Dallas was here 2 summers ago, she was shocked it was so hot. For example, is usually takes 6 hours for my hair to dry naturally, yesterday 1 freaking hour!

Thankfully it dropped today & I’m getting a wicked breeze in the window.

Haha Dakota – I am in Flordia like I was telling Pixie yesterday we only have two seasons here Hot and Hot with rain. Yesterday the pavement was 122 degrees and it was only 97 outside. I have scars from seat belt buckle burns and why anyone in their right effing mind would buy leather seats is beyond me. I grew up without AC – yep yep right here in the melt yo ass sunshine state – and still don’t know how I survived it. And back then I wore jeans year round – never shorts. Proof I was nuts back then. To keep cool in the summer my hubs puts peppermint oil in the brim of his ball cap and I just walk around with a cooler full of frozen washcloths. Back of the neck is the best.
