The Iron Queen Giveaway

A new alliance is made, along with a few contracts, of course, and Meghan, half Summer faery princess, half human, is pressed to choose Fey over her mortal beginnings. Will she abandon her human heart for an iron will that will help her survive? For as Meghan Chase can confirm—in real life, unlike books, faery tales don’t necessarily have happy endings.

“I thought it was over…The impossible choices, the sacrifices of those I loved. But a storm is approaching and they will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Back into a conflict so powerful…I’m not sure anyone can survive it.” – Meghan Chase in The Iron Queen

One LUCKY winner will win a copy of The Iron Queen AND an Iron Queen T-Shirt which I am seriously jealous about because I WANT ONE!!!

To enter, answer this question in the comments: What is your favorite fairy tale?

My favorite fairy tale is the story of Cinderella – I love that despite having everything taken away from her, the heroine gets her prince.

  • Amanda Castellano January 31, 2011 at 8:14 pm

Beauty and the Beast because I really identify with Belle. We’re both bookish and want something more out of life than just everyday things.

  • Kate N. (Yzhabella) January 31, 2011 at 8:52 pm

    I love Snow White.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  • Alicia January 31, 2011 at 8:52 pm

I’m a sucker for the happily-ever-afters, so I think any of the princess finds her prince stories, like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc.

  • Celine January 31, 2011 at 9:21 pm

My favorite fairy tale is Cat-Skin.

  • Whitney January 31, 2011 at 9:26 pm

Sleeping Beauty. Her Prince kills a dragon for her, while she takes a nap… It’s Great!

Having recently seen Tangled in 3D, I’m going with Rapunzel as my fave. All that long, beautiful golden hair? I’m jealous…but happy to not have to worry about the maintenance :-p

  • Brooke February 1, 2011 at 4:18 pm

Hansel and Gretel, my brother and I pretended all the time in the good old days. Also love Rumplestiltskin, the human outsmarts the fey :0) Just trying to mix it up a little.
Sleeping Beauty is the best Disney, I think.

  • Jamie February 1, 2011 at 4:47 pm

Any of the Brothers Grimm Stories are really good but my favorites of them are The Fisherman and his wife and The Elves and the Shoemaker.

My favorite fairy tale would be Tangled (the movie!) even though it’s not a traditional one, same with Enchanted. I also like Cinderella.

  • Aik February 2, 2011 at 5:22 am

My favourite fairy tale is Snow White.

  • Natalie Aguirre February 2, 2011 at 8:56 am

Beauty and Beast or Mu Lan (not really a fairy tale) would be mine. Thanks for the contest.

  • Spite February 2, 2011 at 11:10 am

Ooh, a toughy…..Favorite All-Time Faery-Tale…..Probably “Valient” by Holly Black (Modern Faery-Tale – it counts!) because I love that Val gets a happy ending even though it won’t last forever. And if that doesn’t count, then…”The Little Mermaid” by Hans Christian Andersen, because I think it’s beautiful to love someone as much as to die for him/her.

  • Julie Labelle-Brisebois February 2, 2011 at 2:23 pm

Okay, so, my favorite fairytale is the Beauty and the Beast. Thanks for the contest and good luck to everyone!!!

  • Emily Rose February 2, 2011 at 3:34 pm

Probably Sleeping Beauty. Just because it’s awesome.

  • Lexus Salvatore Delorme February 2, 2011 at 4:05 pm

Its between The Little Mermaid &Beauty and The Beast. The Litter Mermaid because, since I was a little girl i always wanted to be one. I would pretend I was a mermaid in the bathtub, even at the public pool I’d sit on the edge of the diving board combing out my hair… its really funny now that I think of it. And Beauty and The Beast because the story is amazing , and well.. beautifully written. The fact that this woman fell in love with not looks but personality is something that touches my heart deeply. Looks are not everything, they will fade eventually.. but someones personality is embedded into a person souls, its light never dims through out years.. it just grows brighter.

  • Pamk February 3, 2011 at 10:51 am

beauty and the beast for me.

  • Gabrielle Carolina February 3, 2011 at 11:10 pm

I am a big fan of the fairytale’s; they all mean something different and wonderful to me, but I think if I could only pick one it would be Beauty and the Beast.

  • Meredith Miller February 4, 2011 at 12:16 pm

    Cinderella!!! So romantic!

  • Brianna Bruce February 4, 2011 at 3:26 pm

That’s hard! Hmm. I’ll go with the Little Mermaid, even with the tragic ending.

  • Rachel Elizabeth February 4, 2011 at 7:36 pm

Beauty and the Beast, definitely! Love how it’s about falling in love with someone for their personality, not their looks.

  • JenM February 5, 2011 at 12:05 am

Absolutely Beauty and the Beast and I’m a total sucker for romances that are based on that premise.

  • Christine February 5, 2011 at 7:09 am

Hm…. I have to admit, as I child, I read all the fairytale books, but somehow, something about the princesses and all the characters seemed to scare me… I never really loved any of the fairy tales, but I loved books about actual fairies and those adventure typed stories like Peter Pan. Now, I’m a real sucker for romance stories, but still find something creepy about thoes princesses and fairytale stories.

  • Julie February 5, 2011 at 3:39 pm

My favorite fairy tale would have to be… ummm.. *thinks* the Little Mermaid… or Aladdin!!
