It’s Been 4 Years Already?! WLP Turns FOUR!

Yep, we stuck around for four whole years and no one has been killed off yet. It’s like Blogger: Survivor Island up in here!

We’ve lost a blogger (Mitch), gained some new bloggers Lynda & Lulu (with PJ as our roving reporter) and left a whole wake of chaos behind us! Hooray, that means we’ve done good baby! We’ve fought with people in the comments, emails & twitter, but we’ve hugged and made up…with most. Ahem.

It’s been a pretty “interesting” four years, from authors threatening law suits over Dick Attacks to having my blog posts stolen to bad sex scenes. We’ve interviewed awesome authors, sexy musicians and of course I have ranted.

Our most searched terms have left us giggling:

• BDSM (Seriously?! Tie me up baby!)
• Shower Sex (no thank you, I might break a hip)
• Fangs (please, I think we’ve had enough)
• Public Sex/Sex In Public (I’m sensing a theme)
• Batgirl (No clue but I’d rock that costume)
• Laxatives (I REALLY have no clue)
• Car Sex (I’m not as bendy as I used to be?)

The traditional forth anniversary gift is fruit or flowers, we’ll except those if they are in a glass that contains alcohol (or coffee).

I’ve asked a few of our favourite people to stop by to celebrate with us today. Thank you to Pam, Lulu, Seleste, Sara, Mitch, PJ and Lynda for putting up with me, you ladies are my favourite stable of bishes ever. I’m glad you entered my harem.

But really, THANK YOU readers and authors for sticking with us and getting our humour. For reading and commenting, and for making me laugh at least once a day on Twitter. You all rock. Seriously.

Author PJ Schynder: Happy Anniversary! One of these days I really will bake you a king cake or cook Thai food or something. Wicked Lil Pixie has become my favorite site for reviews, random fun posts and hilarity. And who else could convince me to read about Tookie De La Créme? It’s been great being a “roving reporter” for the site and I hope to contribute more fun interviews in the future.

Blogger: Marq of Love To Read For Fun: Why I Love Wicked Lil Pixie, let me count the ways. Well I’m not actually going to count the ways. That would be ridiculous. Heh. I first discovered WLP not through a book review post but a blog post about the earthquake in Haiti. I was looking for information on the disaster relief effort and stumbled upon her blog. I then started clicking through WLP and started reading the reviews. Mind you, most of the reviews were for UF books, which at the time was not my cup of tea, but I added WLP to my Google Reader, figured I’d give it a shot and I am so glad I did. Thanks to WLP and their awesome reviews, I’ve broaden my horizon and started reading more UF. It’s still not my favorite genre but I am slowly getting there. The reviews are awesome but my favorite thing about the blog is WLP Rants. The rant hits the nail on the head and doesn’t pull any punches. I love it. I met Pam at AAD Philly last summer and she is just the sweetest, nicest person. Her online persona is how she is in person. I hope to see her again soon! Nat is my PIC for acting ignant on da twittuh. When either one of us start the foolishness, it’s a guaranteed good ass time. Happy Anniversary Wicked Lil Pixie! I’m sending you some wings!!

Author Jess Haines: I love Nat and the rest of the Wicked Pixies because of the snark, the rants, and the fun.  Stopping by and seeing posts about things like the biggest haunted house in all the land, children scarred for life by Santa or the Easter Bunny, and the occasional interview of more than just authors, in addition to some great and insightful book reviews, all make this one of my favorite blogs.  Happy blog-o-versary!

Blogger Bells of Hanging With Bells: There are a couple of reasons why I think the Wicked Lil Pixie site is so unique that it sets it apart from other blogs. The first thing that pops up in my mind is that these ladies are straight up REAL!  Whether it’s reviews to current events, they aren’t afraid to say what is on their mind.  They are passionate with their opinions and with what they love.  Speaking of love, you can just tell that Nat and Pam have a special connection between them.  They seem to have their own language when they discuss books which is extremely entertaining.  Which leads to the next reason as to why I like the site.  THEY ARE HILARIOUSSSSS!  They have the funniest blog posts from Krampus, to bad Santa pics, to little kids crying on the Easter Bunny’s lap.  The find what’s funny out there in the web-verse and report on it for the rest of us.  The ladies at WLP can be serious when they need to be and then give us all a good laugh when we need one.  You never know what they are going to talk about next and that’s what sets their blog apart from all the others.

Author (and Homeslice) Dakota Cassidy: Congrats on your 4 year anniversary. You are all awesome. Really. Really. Awesome.

Again. Dakota Cassidy: Wait. I have a better one. Happy four-year anniversary. I love to come to your blog. When I do, I usually get into a shit-ton of trouble. A. Shit-ton.

Holy shit. Dakota Cassidy Won’t SHUT UP: Wait–I have it. I’m thrilled that you’ve been around four four years. Two of those of which (you know, since I knew “you people” existed) I’ve actually been aware of. But it’s so much awesome, it’s like a “Dick-Attack!” Good, right?

FFS. Dakota Cassidy. Again: Happy four-year, you’re so AWESOME blog-versary! Nat demanded I drop by and say she’s AWESOME (p/s she dissed the rest a you bishes, and didn’t mention any of you at all–but you’re AWESOME, too!). So, *cue old cheerleader with nappy pom-poms*  Ahem (deep breath because again, old person here, people.) *Winds up best cheerleading voice* “Nat’s AWWWWWESOME!” *Has to sit momentarily because might I remind you–old cheerleader here.* *Gets second wind*  Ahem, (two deep breaths because lungs are now burning), Nat also demanded I recall some AWESOME memories of her blog posts. But she forgot to tell me which memories I was supposed to say were the AWESOMEST. Anyway, happy blog-versary! *Grabs oxygen tank and Tiger Balm–heads back to home for retired, but still AWESOME cheerleaders.*
