CdnMrs Reviews: Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter by Jessica Sims

SUPERNATURAL SINGLE SEEKS SEXY SHE-WOLF TO HELP HIM BEAR ALL
Is your new pack driving you a little crazy? Tired of all those wolves in sheep’s clothing? Let me be your fierce protector.

Me: A strong, silent type who doesn’t care much about the creature comforts.

You: Sweet as honey. No such thing as too big or too small— you’re just right.

Let’s take things slow. I’ll start as your bodyguard, but hopefully soon I’ll shift into your mate. You need a man who’s born to be wild, and I’m ready to protect you from all the wolf pack can throw in your direction. Don’t be afraid of your animal side. Show me yours, and I’ll show you mine.

(In the spirit of this whole personals ad thing here’s my review. Enjoy. )

Part-time book blogger looking for uplifting, paranormal read with humour.

Would like author to improve upon first book in series [Beauty Dates the Beast] and to take a shifter with alpha strength and give him a more beta personality.

Would like to see a male virgin character and experienced female character for once and to see humour not supersede a savvy plot and true to life/serious issues (ex. Domestic violence).

Male character should care more about his lady’s needs and personal growth than his throbbing manhood and should not be controlled or turned into a jerk because of any mating instinct. A strong desire that his lady-love should nap and eat as much rare steak as possible would be a major plus!

Female character should not be a dimwitted doormat and should, by the book’s end, learn to take care of herself and not cringe behind her man. She should be able to stick it to the bad guys in a way that totally makes me want to cheer and give her a high five.

Hot, steamy sexy times is a must as is witty dialogue and atrocious pet-names (ie. Huggy Bear). Pinacoladas, getting caught in the rain and other schmaltzy stuff is not necessary.

If this was my personal ad Jessica Sims’ Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter would have nailed it and we be to at least third base by now. I had tons of fun with this book.

A fun and flirty read, Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter can be read as part of the Midnight Liaisons series (it’s book 2) or as a stand-alone. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to readers of Paranormal Romance.

      Pfft! You’re too kind.
I want to say though I could not get that stupid Pina Colada song out of my head for days after I wrote this review.

Appreciating the dedication you put into your blog and
detailed information you provide. It’s awesome to come across a blog every once in a
while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed information.

Great read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
