In 2013 I’ll be releasing the 5th Secret McQueen book – Grave Secret. If scheduling goes well, I’ll also have the 6th releasing in the fall. I’m currently working on a baseball contemporary, and also my first young adult book.
Romance wise it’s an easy pick: Ruthie Knox’s About Last Night stands out as the best romance I’ve read in a very, very long time.
I’m a sucker for egg nog. But when it comes to food, my favorite thing is mashed potatoes.
I used to hate Christmas music in general, but I’ve come to like it a bit more over time. I’m not a religious person so I don’t tend to like the religious based songs as much as the more whimsical ones, but I can’t say I have one in general I like least.
New pajamas. It’s tradition in my family to give out new pjs on Christmas Eve.
My grandmother one year gave me the most hideous sweater vest in history. It was covered in sequins and bobbles and had a Christmas theme. It was genuinely hideous. I was 16 at the time and just horrified.
I’m sure I handed out some pretty terrible macaroni-art gifts as a kid. But “gift cards” would be my go-to answer here. I get lazy sometimes.
Winter hay ride with my whole family when I was about 8 or 9. Froze our buns off but it was a lot of fun.
I’m afraid of llamas. Yes, I’m serious. They have under bites, they spit, and their ears go back when they’re angry. They’re demented and they frighten me.
I only really collect two things. I have about 58 copies of Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy. I collect different editions/covers/etc. It’s my favorite book and it sort of became a strange little collection. I also collect pins from baseball stadiums I’ve visited.
