• What is next for you book wise in 2013?

My first release in 2013 is Agave Kiss, the final installment in the Corine Solomon series.

• Do you have a favorite book of 2012?

I read so much that it would be impossible to pick just one. But favorites include Crown of Embers by Rae Carson, Grave Mercy by Robin Lafevers, and The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke.

• What is your favorite holiday food?

I can’t get it here, which is probably a good thing, but I love that peppermint bark they sell at candy shoppes around the holidays.

• Least favorite holiday song?

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. I just don’t like camp at Christmas.

• Do you have any holiday family traditions?

We always put up a tree and let the kids open one present on Christmas Eve. I usually make cookies too, even though the kids don’t leave them for Santa anymore.

• Worst gift you ever received?

A patchwork jacket. It was so fug.

• Worst gift you ever gave?

I give good gifts. I spend a lot of time and consideration on them. But the most generic, I suppose, would be a gift certificate.

• Favorite holiday memory?

Any holiday where I’m with my family is a good one. But I do love the year I made a whole turkey for the first time. I was so nervous, but it turned out delicious, and my family was super impressed.

• If you could share one lesser known fact about yourself to our readers, what will it be?

I can roll my tongue.

• Weirdest thing you collect?

Statues of animals. Right now it’s mostly elephants, giraffes and frogs. Don’t ask.
