Both HOT BLOODED and COLD BLOODED release in 2013. I’m really excited! HOT releases in April & COLD releases in the fall. I’m super pumped to get the next book in the hands of fans this spring.
The stack of books by my bedside is three feet high. I didn’t finish a single book in 2012, but started many. Authors on my to-be-finished list are Amanda Bonilla, Julie Ann Walker, Sandy Williams & Shawntelle Madison. So much new talent out there.
It’s a toss up for side dishes for me. I’m a sucker for the sides. I love potatoes & stuffing. This year I had an unbelievable sweet potato casserole with plenty of cream and parmesan. I think I had a dream about it, LOL!
I like my Christmas tunes upbeat, so anything long and ballad-y is a yawn for me. Bring the happy, cheerful songs all day long.
Christmas Day is always spent with my extended family. We open gifts with the kids first then get together with 40 people. This year I’m hosting. We have a huge ice rink in the yard and it’s hilarious to watch my family try and skate. I love Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday of the year.
An address book unwrapped sitting on my desk. I told my brand new husband not to buy me anything 18 years ago. He took me at my word. That never happened again! Now it’s a little something, but we don’t go crazy.
I re-gifted someone a salad spinner from my wedding!! I’m giggling just remembering. I got two as gifts. Who needs two salad spinners? (Who even uses one??) *giggles*
My three kids waiting on the top steps to come down and see their gifts from Santa every single year. The anticipation is crazy. We take pictures and each year I lengthen out the torture time. I love it.
I worked as a volunteer Park Ranger in Utah when I was 22. It was amazing! Nothing like the red rock vistas.
I started my girls on a collection of mini Japanese erasers shaped like food. Yep. We are totally addicted. That and Tokidoki stuff. But we don’t consider it strange, it’s just awesome.
Thanks for having me, WLP!! It’s always fun to stop by. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.
Giveaway: INTERNATIONAL! Amanda is giving away a signed copy of Full Blooded to one lucky person. Just tell us about your favourite holiday memory.
My favorite memory is my Grandmother coming to our house to bake
It was going to cut our own trees for Christmas.
Merry Christmas,

A few years ago all the family would get together on Christmas Eve, have dinner, play games and open presents.
Every year on boxing day the whole family would go to my grandparents home to celebrate Christmas and their anniversary!
I have so many good memories of my girls I can’t pick just one. So I’ll pick one from when I was little…getting my cabbage patch doll was amazing! It was the only doll I ever had.
I don’t celebrate Xmas, so one year, we went diving in Thailand. It was a lovely way to spend the holidays.
My favourite memory is my mom baking a lot of desserts!!!!
My favorite holiday memory is from when I was little. We would leave Santa cookies and milk and when we got up there would be a note from Santa with reindeer tracks.
My favorite memory is of my first Midnight Mass. We had a tiny church and it was full with every one of holding a candle singing carols. It was beautiful.
My favorite holiday memory is spending Christmas at my sister’s house with all the family. My sis and I would hop in the car after dinner (with anyone else who wanted to go) and drive all around town looking at all the lights and decorations. Then come home and have some pumpkin pie for dessert. Yum!
One of my favorite memories of Christmas is one year, when my brother was just a baby, he woke up at 1 am and wouldn’t go back to sleep for anything. He woke everyone up with his crying, so we just had Christmas at 2 am instead of 6 hours later
In the pictures, we all look pretty bleary eyed. It’s rather funny.
Merry Christmas! Making decorations for the tree
Just being really little and the totally magical feeling of waking up and there being all these presents left by Santa!
Happy Holidays & thanks for the amazing giveaway!

Living in the Chicago area and going downtown with my mom & sister to see the lights and windows on State Street and eating lunch under the tree at Marshall Fields. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! Happy Holidays!
I have a lot of cool memories– now this is an odd one, but one year we all had the stomach flu. Did that stop us? NO! We were all opening gifts in the morning because of course Santa had still come…my daughter was 8 or so, and had the worst bed hair. She’s opening her gifts, I’m taking pics and I look over and she’s asleep. She literally fell asleep opening a gift. LOL We laid around all day and my husband and I took turns taking naps:)
I am going to share a fun one, this year for Thanksgiving (hey its a holiday) the man-child and his buddy decided to fry a turkey. It was great, but the preparation and particulars took a week to set up and I have to say I made the best sides ever that day. Grinning here over the memory of the fun
