31 Wicked Days of Xmas With Christi Barth

  • What is next for you book wise in 2013?

A Fine Romance, book #2 of the Aisle Bound series, comes out in March. It is the story of Sam the baker (who becomes a chocolatier) and Mira, whom Ivy hires to run her romance store.  Spoiler alert: yes, there is an over-the-top sexy scene with melted chocolate!

  • Do you have a favorite book of 2012?

No. Impossible. I read waaaaay too much to be able to narrow it down to just one. I will say that I discovered two series in 2012 that blew me away: Elisabeth Naughton’s Eternal Guardians and Jessica Andersen’s Final Prophecy, about the Mayan apocalypse. I’m trying to finish reading that fast, in case the Mayans were right and the world really does end next week.

  • What is your favorite holiday food?

Eggnog (especially if it has a shot of spiced rum in it).

  • Least favorite holiday song?

“Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey” and “Crabs for Christmas”. I’d never heard of either one until I moved to Baltimore. If you’re feeling brave, google them. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

  • Do you have any holiday family traditions?

Not especially. The usual presents and eating lots thing. But on New Year’s Day, you will find us parked in front of the television watching the Rose Parade, no matter what. My dad marched in it several times, and I decorated our city’s float for five years. LOVE IT!

  • Worst gift you ever received?

It was a wooden, carved, animal like…thing. Honestly had no idea what it was. My dad and I had to leave the room to laugh out loud at it.

  • Worst gift you ever gave?

Wash your mouth out with soap – I give great presents!

  • Favorite holiday memory?

For four years I played the Virgin Mary in an epic production of The Nativity. 100+ cast members, full orchestra, live animals – it was wonderful. The best part was that we were required to greet the audience after the show, and so many people said that our production brought the spirit of the season alive for them. Plus, it was a terrific, shiny costume and everyone bowed to me.

  • If you could share one lesser known fact about yourself to our readers, what will it be?

The Virgin Mary thing wasn’t enough? How about that I was almost Christine in the touring company of Phantom of the Opera?

  • Weirdest thing you collect?

If I said men, would it make you snort-laugh? I keep all the lanyards/badges from the romance conventions I attend. Absolutely pointless – we get a new one every time – but for some reason I love seeing them clustered off the edge of my closet door.

Giveaway Details: Christi will give away an ebook of ASK HER AT CHRISTMAS! Just tell her about your new years resolutions!

Since I never keep them I don’t make them. It’s just safer and less disappointing that way!
